The Summary tab on the Alarms page gives you a high-level view of your alarms across locations, including armed/disarmed states, which locations have alarms enabled, and alarm camera health.
This article explains each section on the Summary page.
Enable Summary Page
You must have the Alarm Summary user permission enabled to see the Summary page. You can enable this permission via Settings > Users if you are an administrator, or ask your Solink administrator to do this.
Filter Summary Data
The data displayed on the Summary page is based on the currently selected locations (all Active and Test mode locations).
Note: Data is not displayed from disabled alarm locations.
Change the location(s) to narrow or expand the data shown on the Summary page.
Note: The date selector does not change the displayed data on the Alarms Summary page. The data on the page is shown in real-time.
Overview Section
The Overview section shows:
Current Arm Status
Active Locations
Alarm Camera Health
Current Arm Status
Current Arm Status shows how many enabled locations are currently armed or disarmed, based on each location's schedule and any temporary overrides in effect right now.
State | Description |
Armed | Enabled locations that are currently armed. |
Disarmed | Enabled locations that are currently disarmed. |
Select either the Armed or Disarmed tile to open the Configure tab with the location list filtered to matching locations (all locations that are armed or all locations that are disarmed).
The first matching location is selected automatically so you can review or update settings
For more information on automating arming and disarming, see Alarm Schedule.
Active Locations
The Active Locations tile shows the following:
Total number of enable alarms locations (includes both enabled alarms and alarms in Test mode).
Total number of locations where alarms are disabled. Only displays when there is at least one disabled location. Select the Disabled Locations tile to open the Configure tab filtered to display all disabled locations.
For more information on enabling and disabling alarms, see Activate an Alarm System.
Alarm Cameras
The Alarm Cameras tile shows the following:
Total number of alarm cameras at enabled locations.
The percentage of those alarm cameras that are currently online.
Displayed when a location only has one alarm camera configured. One alarm camera does not provide adequate coverage and it is highly recommended to configure additional alarm cameras when this warning is displayed.
An additional alert is displayed when more than 25% of alarm cameras at enabled locations are offline (for example, 2/5 alarm cameras are offline). This row appears only when at least one location has more than 25% alarm cameras offline. Select this tile to open the Configure tab filtered to affected locations.
For more information on setting up alarm cameras, see Alarm Motion Zones.
Mode Summary
The Mode Summary section shows how locations are scheduled and which monitoring subscription each location uses.
Locations by Schedule State
Total number of locations currently using an alarm schedule.
Total number of locations currently set to be armed at all times.
Total number of locations currently set to be disarmed at all times.
Select any metric to open the Configure tab filtered to the associated locations.
For more information on setting an alarm schedule, see Alarm Schedule. For more information on arming and disarming, see Arming and Disarming.
Alarms Subscription Summary
This section is split into multiple tabs to show locations grouped by the total number of sites subscribed to each Solink alarm subscription:
Professionally Monitored: Total number of locations on the Professionally Monitored subscription.
Self-Monitored+: Total number of locations on the Self-Monitored+ subscription. A breakdown of handling method is also displayed, indicating how many sites receive an alarm notification either via direct SMS text message/email, or through VerifEye. Please contact your Solink Customer Success representative if you need to adjust the handling method for any of your locations.
Self-Monitored: Total number of locations on Self-Monitored (no subscription).
The tab with the most locations is selected by default when the page loads.
A red dot next to the tab heading, as well as a warning message near the bottom of a tab once selected indicates that at least one location's setup is incomplete for that subscription level. This means the location’s alarms configuration is missing information and therefore alarms at this location are not currently running. See these configurations guides for more information.
Contacts and Access Management
This section summarizes alarm contacts and onsite disarm methods across your locations.
Alarm Contact Locations
Alarm Contact Locations shows which of your enabled alarm locations have Alarm Contacts. A red warning message displays if there are locations without Alarm Contacts.
Ensure that all alarm locations have at least one Alarm Contact to ensure alarms function correctly.
Select the Locations Without Contacts tile to open the Configure tab filtered to locations missing contacts:
See Alarm Contacts for more information on how to create and assign Alarm Contacts.
Onsite Disarm Method
Shows the onsite disarm method for locations if any are enabled:
Video Alarm Tablet: Enabled locations using a Video Alarm Tablet for onsite arm/disarm.
Phone Arm / Disarm: Enabled locations using phone-based arm/disarm.
A "Locations Without PINs" warning is displayed when there are no arm/disarm PINs set up for enabled locations using phone-based arm/disarm or for video alarm tablet(s). This row appears only when at least one location matches.
Select a tile to filter by locations without PINs on the Configure tab.
For more information, see Arm / Disarm PIN.
Recent Activity
The Recent Activity shows up to five recent alarm audit events from the last 30 days for the locations selected in the location selector. This section appears if you have Alarm Audit Events enabled on your account.
Each event row displays:
Event title
Location name
Date the audit event occurred
User email associated with the change
Action | Description |
See Audit Events | Opens the full Audit Events page at Events > Audit Events. |
Play Event | Opens a video player for the event if there is paired video (for example, tablet arm/disarm). |
For more information on audit events, see Alarm Audit Events.
