The Video tab allows you to view cameras based on camera groups and locations:
Camera Groups on Android
You can see all previously created camera groups under the Camera Groups section from the Video page.
Click on a camera group to see all cameras within that group:
Create New Camera Group
To create a new camera group on Android:
Open the camera list (for the location with the camera you want to add to a camera group) via the location section:
Swipe right on the camera you want to add to a camera group:
Select Add to Group.
Select the group you want to add to. Or, select New Group to create a new camera group and add the selected camera to the newly created group.
When you are finished, select Done to save the changes.
Rearrange Cameras in Group
To rearrange the order of cameras displayed in a camera group, tap and hold the horizontal lines next to the camera and drag up or down to place the camera in a different location in the list:
Note: You must be the creator of the camera group or have admin privileges to rearrange cameras in a group.
Delete Cameras/Group
To delete an entire camera group, select the Delete Camera Group button located at the bottom of the camera group view:
To delete individual cameras within a group, swipe right on a camera and select Remove from Group:
Note: You must be the creator of the camera group or have admin privileges to delete a camera group or cameras within a group.
Add Camera to Existing Camera Group
To add a camera to an existing camera group:
From the camera view, select the more options menu ("hamburger menu" icon) in the top-right:
Select the Add to group... button:
Select the camera group(s) from the list you would like to add the camera to.
Select Done to place the camera into the selected group(s).
Arm/Disarm Alarms on Android
You can manually arm and disarm the alarm system from the Live or Video pages on your Solink app:
Heatmap on Android
The Heatmap feature allows you to see where motion occurs most frequently.
Rather than tracking temperature like a traditional heatmap, Solink's Heatmap feature uses similar colors to display where the most motion has occurred in a given camera. In the example below, the red areas represent high motion areas, followed by yellow and green for areas with less motion:
You can activate the Heatmap on any of your recorded footage (not live video). Select the Heatmap icon (shown in the image below) to toggle the Heatmap on or off:
Motion Search on Android
Your cameras record video at your business non-stop; when there is something you want to look at or search for within your video footage, you may find it overwhelming to locate anything due to the sheer amount of footage available.
Motion Search allows you to identify a key area of video and then search for any interaction within that area. It can be used when something goes missing, someone uses a backdoor, or even to audit employee break times.
To initiate a motion search, select the motion search icon (shown in the image below):
You can conduct a motion search by drawing with your finger over the area you want to detect motion in.
The blue bars at the bottom of the video player represent motion in the area you specified and you can cycle between these instances of motion using the video player buttons:
AI motion search allows you to search the camera for only motion with a person or vehicle in the selected area. If AI motion search is enabled, you are presented with the option to toggle between a regular motion search or human/vehicle motion search when you select the motion search icon:

Snapshot on Android
You can take a "snapshot" of the view on your device screen and save it automatically to your device image gallery/library.
Select the Snapshot button to take a snapshot and save it automatically:
The snapshot saves to your device gallery/library (different for each device/operating system). You will see a confirmation message if the snapshot saved correctly:
Download Video on Android
The Download Video button allows you to download a 2-minute clip directly to your device storage. This is different from the Save Clip feature, which allows you to save a clip directly to the Solink app.
If you want to quickly save a 2-minute clip, select the Download Video button:
A 2-minute clip downloads to your device local storage location (dependent on device/operating system). The clip start and end time is determined by the current timeline placement. The video clip saves one minute back from the current timeline placement and one minute forward.
For example, if you select Download Video while hovering over 3:27 P.M. in the timeline, the video clip saved to your device begins one minute before and ends one minute after that time.
Save Clip on Android
You can save a video clip from a certain start and end time within a video via the Save Clip button:
Note: Saved clips are stored as a bookmark event on the Android app and also the Clips page in the Solink platform.
Once you have selected the Save Clip button, you can set the start and end time for the clip:
Scroll along the timeline using your finger, then select Tap to set under Start.
Then repeat this process for End.
Select Next to navigate to the Save Clip menu.
Fill out the following information to save the clip:
Add Notes to the event clip (optional, may help you or others understand the context of the clip later on when reviewing).
Enter email(s) of the recipients you want to receive this clip.
Choose the visibility. Public means the clip can be viewed by anyone, including non-Solink users; Private means the clip can only be shared with Solink users.
Once you have filled out the information, select Save to save the clip and share it with the desired recipients.
Share Video Link on Android
You can select the Copy Video Link button in the video player to retrieve a URL link to the current camera you are viewing. You can then share this link with another Solink user who has access to this camera - when the users clicks the link you shared, they are sent directly to the point in time on the camera you were viewing.
Configure Motion Zones on Android
Motion zones are primarily intended for video alarm use. You can set up motion zones for your cameras to detect motion in a specified area during an alarm period.
Note: Please ensure you have set up video alarms prior to configuring motion zones on mobile. The alarm setup process can be completed on the browser version of Solink. See Alarm Setup for more information.
To begin motion zone configuration on Android, tap the More Options button in the top right corner of the camera view ("hamburger" menu icon), then select Motion zones...:
