Share Access allows you to provide a non-Solink user with limited access to a location. This feature is useful as it can allow you to provide temporary video access to insurance agents or law enforcement.

Please note, any individual you provide temporary video access to will only have limited access to one location within Solink. The user will not have access to the full set of Solink features.

Note: This feature is restricted to admin users only.

How to Share Access

To provide temporary video footage access from one of your locations to a non-Solink user:

  1. Navigate to the Video page.

  2. Select a location from the left side of the page:

  3. Select Share Access in the top-right corner of the page:

  4. The Share Access window opens.

From this window, you can configure the following video access options:

  • Grant Access to Footage Recorded Between

    • If you select Limited Access, the recipient(s) will be able to view footage recorded between the dates you specify. For example, if you choose 2 Jan, 2024 - 5 Jan, 2024, the recipient(s) will be able to view footage recorded between those dates.

    • If you select Continuous Access, the recipient will be able to view footage recorded from the specified date and onwards. For example, if you select 2 Jan, 2024, the recipient can view footage recorded on and after that date.

  • Access Expires In: The recipient(s) will lose access to this footage after the number of days you have selected (for example, if you select "7 days", the recipient(s) will have 7 days to view the footage. After this period of time, they will lose access to view the footage).

  • Access Recipients: Add email(s) to share the link via email. An example of the email that the recipient receives is pictured below:
