Important Note for Mobile Users
This guide is for the new, unified Solink app (released 2026) on iOS and Android. We highly recommend upgrading to this latest version.

Events Overview
The Events page in the Solink mobile app displays all of your events across your locations.
Note: For information on events in the web platform, click here.
Events are grouped by hour (for example 9 AM, 10 AM).
Each event on the mobile app shows:
Thumbnail preview
Event title and type
Location and time
Tip: Pull down to refresh the event list if looking at the latest date.
Open Events
Tap any event to launch and review it in the video player. You can view events in both portrait and landscape orientation; functionality remains the same in both orientations.
View an Event
This section outlines only the actions/buttons specific to viewing events. For general information on the video player on the Solink mobile app, see Watch Video.
When viewing an event, you can toggle between Details and Timeline view:
Details can include event details, such as a transaction receipt.
The timeline allows you to scrub through footage - swipe your finger left or right along the timeline to scrub through footage.
At the bottom of the page you can navigate to the previous or next event. The icon displays the event type, as shown in the image below:
Note: In landscape mode, tap to reveal both details and the timeline. This is separate from portrait mode, where you can toggle between details and timeline display.
Filter and Search Events
Use the filters at the top of the Events page to filter by the following:
Location: Filter events to one or more locations. Tap to open the location picker.
Date: Choose which day or a specific date range to view. Defaults to today; your selection is remembered.
Report filter (filter icon): Apply a saved report filter (Default, Public, or Private filters). Clear the filter from the sheet when you want to see everything again.
Event Types: Filter by event types. Choose a product area (for example AI, Access, or Alarms) or type of event (Scheduled, etc.) to focus on that type of activity. Tap again and choose All to return to the full event feed.
Favorite Events (star icon): Only display events that have been favorited.
Search: Tap the search icon and type to filter events on the currently filtered day.
Swipe Actions
Swipe left on an event card for quick actions:
Notes: Add or edit a note on the event.
Save Clip: Open the video player directly in clip-creation mode for that event. See Solink Mobile App: Clips for more information.
Favourite: Mark or unmark the event as a favourite. You can then filter by favourited clips, as outlined above in Filter and Search Events.
