How to Use Video Search
To search your video with Sidekick:
Type your prompt in the search bar at the top of the Video page.
Use the filters at the top of the page to adjust the start date, timeframe (up to the last 7 days) and location(s) that Sidekick searches through:
Note: Sidekick searches video frames, rather than full video. It is highly recommended to search for objects/scenarios that could be best captured in a single image rather than across seconds or minutes of video.
Sidekick presents the search results from most relevant to least relevant. Please note that search results may vary based on the prompt.
Some suggestions that you can use Sidekick search for include:
Search for "Employees looking at cell phone" to identify if employees are looking at their cellphone instead of serving a customer:
Search for a particular color of a hat or shirt that someone was reported to be wearing, such as "red hat":
Search for a particular color of a vehicle or even the make/model (if you have outdoor cameras):
How to Enhance Video Search Results
There are a few methods you can use to improve search results, outlined below.
Precision Slider
Use the precision slider to adjust your search results.
Start with high precision to get search results that are as close as possible to what you searched for. This method will also return the least number of search results.
To broaden your search and increase the number of results, move the slider to low precision - the search results may not be as close to what you initially searched for, but may also return more results that are in the "ball park" of what you are looking for.
