Video Search allows you to search your cameras for a certain object or situation using AI.

Note: Video Search is currently in Beta. You must have a subscription to Solink's AI Package to use Video Search.

You can use Video Search directly from the Video page in the Solink platform:

To search your video with Sidekick:

  1. Type your prompt in the search bar at the top of the Video page.

  2. Use the filters at the top of the page to adjust the start date, timeframe (up to the last 7 days) and location(s) that Sidekick searches through:

Note: Sidekick searches video frames, rather than full video. It is highly recommended to search for objects/scenarios that could be best captured in a single image rather than across seconds or minutes of video.

Sidekick presents the search results from most relevant to least relevant. Please note that search results may vary based on the prompt.

Some suggestions that you can use Sidekick search for include:

  • Search for "Employees looking at cell phone" to identify if employees are looking at their cellphone instead of serving a customer:

  • Search for a particular color of a hat or shirt that someone was reported to be wearing, such as "red hat":

  • Search for a particular color of a vehicle or even the make/model (if you have outdoor cameras):
