Follow the guidelines in this document to ensure our technician can perform a timely and stress-free installation that aligns with your timelines.

Note: The camera system is typically one of the final elements to be installed at a new location.

Ensure your location meets the following requirements prior to our technician’s visit:

  • The location has a stable and active internet service.

  • Solink domains are allowed by your network provider.

  • The location has permanent power and outlets to connect to that power.

  • Open port on managed network switch (if applicable), with port number shared with us.

  • If the location has existing cameras, please ensure an accurate NVR/camera credentials has been provided to your Solink Account Executive or Deployment Project Manager prior to the installation.

  • A dedicated area for the Solink Recording Device is in place, with direct access to a power outlet, and the current firewall/network router (network rack/shelf is recommended).

  • If the location has a drop ceiling, the grid must be installed and there must be enough tiles available for the number of cameras that are to be mounted.

  • Space is clear enough for technicians to maneuver with a ladder and/or scissor lift and technician can have full access to the networking area.

  • Painting has been completed (recommended to protect camera lens covers, but not required).

  • If county/city/state requires a low voltage permit and/or inspection, please ensure it is in place, or provide us with necessary contact information to arrange it.
