A text message is sent to your alarm contact(s) when the alarm system is armed and successive employees are identified onsite over the course of X minutes, as indicated in the text message.
Select the link at the bottom of the text message to open footage of the alarm for review.
This happens when a monitoring agent reviews footage of an alarm and determines that the people onsite are employees, not suspicious individuals. The site is automatically disarmed until the next scheduled arm period, or for a certain period of time configured by your Customer Success representative.
Follow the steps outlined below to learn how you can optimize your alarm system and ensure you only receive notifications when a real threat to person or property occurs.
Note: If you receive this text message and the people onsite are NOT employees, follow the steps outlined in the text message to either arm the system immediately and/or dispatch emergency services to address the threat. To learn more, see How to Address Threat (No Employees Detected) below.
Change the Alarm Schedule
Setting a correct alarm schedule is one of the most important steps to ensure your site is protected and is unarmed when permitted individuals are onsite.
An alarm schedule automates the arming and disarming process to ensure the system is armed when the site is closed and disarmed when open.
It is also highly recommended to create a schedule that takes into account employee arrival and departure times beyond simply creating a schedule based on store hours.
For example, set the alarm to disarm before the first employee(s) is expected to arrive onsite and set it to arm after the last employee(s) is expected to leave the site.
Reach out to your Solink Customer Success representative for more help with setting up an alarm schedule.
Additionally, see Alarm Schedule for more information.
Create Alarm Schedule Exceptions
Create an exception in your alarm schedule to arm or disarm the system for occasions that fall outside of your typical close and open times.
For example, you may want to adjust the alarm schedule temporarily during a holiday break, during a special event at your location after closing hours, or during renovations to avoid triggering an alarm.

Additionally, see Alarm Schedule Exceptions for more information.
Use Solink's Alarm Tablet for Enhanced Alarm Monitoring
Solink offers a physical tablet solution to ensure the system is always armed and disarmed at the appropriate times.
When employees enter the site, they are prompted to disarm the alarm system via a PIN code and arm with the same PIN when leaving the site. This mitigates any instance of an authorized individual accidentally triggering the alarm system during an armed alarm period.
Reach out to your Solink Customer Success representative to inquire about purchasing a Video Alarm Tablet for your locations.
Additionally, see Video Alarm Tablet Overview for more information on setting up and configuring a tablet if you already have one installed.
