Agents: Troubleshooting

Written by Ryley White

This guide provides troubleshooting advice for Solink Agents - mainly regarding issues that can occur based on prompts.

Issue

Solution

The agent is returning too many results

Add clearer criteria for the agent to monitor for and include situations the agent should ignore.

The agent is missing important activity

Make the task more direct and add visual clues that describe the activity.

The agent is confused by normal activity

Describe what normal activity looks like in the camera view.

The agent is detecting the wrong people or objects

Add details about uniforms, customer areas, employee areas, object colours, or locations in the scene.

The agent is inconsistent

Break the prompt into steps and use clear thresholds.

Agent is over-flagging

Avoid vague prompts. Narrow the prompt context (eg: only flag if X and Y are both present).

Agent is under-detecting

Prompt is too narrow. Look for patterns in what is being missed and broaden or clarify the additional context to address.

Agent is not running at expected frequency

Review the schedule settings and confirm the hours and frequency are set correctly. Check camera connectivity for the assigned locations. Escalate to Solink Support if configuration appears correct and issue persists.
