Camera Linking uses AI to detect motion patterns between your cameras and automatically create buttons you can use to navigate between your nearby cameras.

Camera Linking allows you to:

  • Perform video audits of unfamiliar locations by navigating from one camera view to the next.

  • Track suspects through a location as they move between camera fields of view.

  • Save time setting up your camera floor plan by letting AI do it for you.

  • See incidents unfold from multiple angles for better case management.

  • Watch how new or re-positioned cameras affect the overall video coverage of your site.

You can see which of your cameras have camera links and how many links are associated with a camera via the thumbnails on the Video page:

Enable Camera Linking

You can enable or disable Camera Linking from the Video player. Once enabled, any available camera links appear as an overlay in the camera view:

Note: Camera links are automatically created using artificial intelligence; you do not have to manually add camera links. However, you can manually add them to any camera if you wish (see Create and Edit Camera Links).

Navigate with Camera Links

Once you have enabled Camera Linking, all available camera links appear in the camera view as an overlay button.

A preview of all cameras linked to the current camera you are viewing appears on the left side of the screen:

null

Hover your mouse over each camera link button to see the associated camera on the left side:

Select a camera link button or a camera preview on the left-hand side of the screen to navigate to that camera:

The last camera you visited is highlighted with an orange border:
