# What is a Widget?

Learn how Solink widgets work and dive in further to create widgets.

Widgets display information from your business within a helpful visual tile on the **Dashboard** page.

You can configure each of these widgets to display information from your [**events**](/docs/review-events-and-save-evidence/events.md), [**reports**](/docs/understand-your-business/search-and-save-reports/create-a-report.md), or [**camera groups**](/docs/watch-and-find-video/manage-cameras/camera-groups.md).

## How to Create a New Widget

To start creating a widget, select the **+ Widget** button in the top-right corner of the **Dashboard** page:

Next, select a widget type:

As you create the widget, a preview displays next to the options in the widget creator:
