# Alarm Schedule

You can choose specific days and time periods when your alarm is armed.

For instance, you may want your alarm to be armed Monday-Friday during a certain time and Saturday-Sunday during a different period of time.

You can configure active alarm periods using the **Schedule** feature.

**Tip:** It is highly recommended to set your alarm schedule so that the system is **armed one hour after the last employee is expected to leave** and **disarmed one hour before the first employee is expected to arrive**.\
\
For example, if the first employee is expected to enter the location at 8 A.M., configure the alarm schedule to disarm at 7 A.M. If the last employee is expected to leave at 11 P.M., configure the alarm schedule to arm at 12 A.M.\
\
This helps ensure the alarm system does not trigger a false alarm because an employee arrives early to work or remains on site after their shift.

3. Choose a day and specify the period of time you want the alarm to be armed. For example, you can choose to arm the alarm on Sundays between the hours of 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM. If you wish to arm the alarm during the evening or night, a second time period is available for configuration by default. In the example below, the alarm is armed on Sunday from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM:

**Note:** You can also configure **alarm schedule exceptions** so that the alarm system is armed or disarmed during a period of time not defined in your current alarm schedule. For more information, see [Alarm Schedule Exceptions](/docs/protect-your-locations-with-alarms/use-and-configure-alarms/alarm-schedule-exceptions.md).

{% tab title="Mobile" %}
You cannot change the alarm schedule in the mobile app. Use the Solink web platform to configure the schedule.

To view the alarm schedule, tap a location on the **Alarms** page, then select the **Schedule** tab.

View the weekly alarm schedule in the location’s timezone:

1. Navigate to the **Previous week** / **Next week**, or open the calendar to pick a week.
2. Colored blocks show **Armed** and **Disarmed** periods.
3. [**Alarm Exceptions**](/docs/protect-your-locations-with-alarms/use-and-configure-alarms/alarm-schedule-exceptions.md) lists schedule exceptions (one-time arm/disarm overrides) for the week.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.solink.com/docs/protect-your-locations-with-alarms/alarm-setup/alarm-schedule.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
