#### View Multiple Cameras at Once

You can view multiple cameras at the same time:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-9d0bd0c4a23eba8269fd2b357c57ccae717b1520%2Fdbb02bfd496d99c8.png?alt=media" alt="" width="640">

Just select the videos you want to watch from the Video page via the **Select** button:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-275f89cc39c99fcb590870e83cc1ed41244367c6%2F3127f0c1ea4c126b.gif?alt=media" alt="" width="560">

You can also add more cameras while in the video player from the right-side of the screen:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4404716b2b0e5b9c0d2c632597e77e9b0e05d941%2F36a13d4a3730ffdb.png?alt=media" alt="" width="560">

The Multi-View guide below covers the same content, but you can visit the link and save it for later if you need to reference these instructions at any time.

#### Motion Search - How to Quickly Find Footage

Scrolling through hours of video is a lot of work. But you can speed up your search with Solink's Motion Search feature, which allows you to pinpoint an area of the camera and skip directly to whenever motion occurred in that area.

Check out the video below to learn more about Motion Search.

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76d2f1FLfDg>" %}

We also have a Motion Search guide available if you want to dive in a bit more.

#### Saving Video

You can save a clip to the Solink cloud.

Select the **Save Clip** button in the video player to save a custom video clip:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-946b1837ba5276d1bc56b1564c385e29cec67896%2Fbb6a4739029166e6.png?alt=media" alt="" width="560">

It is important to save before the footage is no longer available, as per your camera's retention period. Retention determines how long you can access HD and SD video before it expires (see [Video Retention](/docs/watch-and-find-video/manage-cameras/how-to-check-camera-video-retention.md) for more information).

Check out our Saving Clips Guide below to learn more about how you can save and manage your saved clips:

[Saving Clips Guide](/docs/review-events-and-save-evidence/clips/save-video-clips.md)

Once you have saved a clip, it is accessible on the **Clips** page:

![](https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-1ec09499d8ab48bc419a7155220f2ed1261ed5ca%2Fe82fe455bf455b73.png?alt=media)

To learn more about the Clips page, including how to search and filter for saved clips, see the Clips Page Guide below.

#### Search Events

Events pair data - such as POS transactions - and video footage together. You can access all of your events right from the Events page in Solink:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-c3b2fbc19d201f67f647b90567fbd962f5d961e2%2Ff1c8f79fef785115.png?alt=media" alt="" width="640">

The Events page is your hub for data and there are many ways to search and filter the events you are looking for:

* Use the date, timeframe and location filters at the top of the page to adjust the displayed events:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-615d9148e0d807305dd148a637e6e00d1efbadd9%2F1ad30a9a5bf3c923.png?alt=media" alt="" width="640">

* Use the search bar to find events that contain or do not contain a particular title, keyword, number, etc. Use the filters to further narrow your search. You can also save your search as a report, allowing you to streamline the filtered data into a **Dashboard** widget (see the linked guide below for information on how to create a report).

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-68f39dfdc997cafccc140b18672095b8a64d6fd4%2Fb250ecccf177a740.png?alt=media" alt="" width="640">

* Select an event card thumbnail to watch the event in the Solink video player, where you can perform additional actions as shown below:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-2fa103887a505fb14645b5e9414fbfce8aec2203%2F66c59b495905285b.png?alt=media" alt="" width="640">

Check out the guides below if you want to learn more about how you can get the most out of your events:

[Events Page UI Guide](/docs/review-events-and-save-evidence/events/events-page-user-interface-guide.md) [How to Create a Report](/docs/understand-your-business/search-and-save-reports/create-a-report.md)

#### Turn Data into Insights: Dashboard Page

You can display data from your video and POS systems on the Solink **Dashboard** page:

<img src="https://1562067156-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FlMN1EUQcXYfv7FYpGJWR%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-27d1a8601666c4dd0a9df97f80cf1f8974907478%2F2e230e993317ee82.png?alt=media" alt="" width="640">

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.solink.com/docs/get-started/getting-started-guide.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
